Finally, to my knowledge, this is the first attempt to write an English textbook of Constitutional Law (General Principles) by a Turkish academic. Therefore, I strongly believe that the first edition of this book should be dedicated to Professor Erdal Onar who has not only been one of the greatest constitutional law scholars in Turkey but also has provided much support and has been a real guidance throughout my academic career. It is my honour to dedicate this edition to Professor Onar and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and thank to him for being a role model for many people in Turkish academia.
Finally, utmost care has been taken to avoid factual mistakes and print errors. In spite of it, if there are a few of them, they may be condoned. As an author, I take full responsibility for the lapses and reasonable omissions.
I hope you find this book useful, and as always, encourage any of you to contact me on https://twitter.com/ConsLawNutshell if you have any comments and questions or if you find errors. Suggestions for improvement are solicited.
